Martin Chaparro is a Detroit-based guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter whose music doesn't sit comfortably in one genre — and never tried to. Rock, blues, jazz, and Latin rhythm move through his work in equal measure, woven together by expressive guitar work and a voice that shifts from gritty to tender without losing its center.

Born in Argentina and raised between two musical worlds, Martin brought that breadth with him to Detroit and let the city's sound deepen it. Detroit gave him the resilience and grit; the Latin tradition gave him the rhythm and warmth. The result is a songwriter who can hold a room with a single acoustic guitar and turn around the next night to lead a full electric trio — and have both feel like the same artist.

The SSP Acoustic Trio adds layered harmonies and dynamic range, suited to wineries, weddings, and small venues. The MC3 Trio brings the full electric band — rock, blues, and Latin grooves built for festivals, clubs, and rooms that want to move.

Featured at the DMA Artist Spotlight, where his performance was praised as a sound "rooted in tradition and uniquely his own," Martin continues to build a working catalog of original music while collaborating widely with Detroit-area artists.
